I have devoted my whole life to helping the disabled so that more cerebral palsy children will have a brighter future. The only place where “success” comes before “work” is in the dictionary, so I believe that as long as we commit and focus wholeheartedly, with time and perseverance, our efforts will be met with fruitful gains.

Of course, founding CereCare is not my ultimate goal. Rather, I would like to mobilize as many people as I can to understand and work with the disabled so that CP children would no longer be marginalized and become integrated into society.

Time slips away with the teachers’ every drop of sweat and with the children’s every smile and laughter. Over the years, CereCare has prospered from the support of various governmental organizations, communities, and individual volunteers. As such, our country has made significant progress in the field of CP rehabilitation. On behalf of all of CereCare’s staff and patients, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your help.

Since CereCare was founded in June 2003, I have had the good fortune to witness the successful rehabilitation of more than 250 CP patients. It makes me so proud to see that 32 of those children reached their ideal to be able to live amongst normal children and go to school alongside them. In fact, one of our most successful patients even tested into one of Shanghai’s best high schools.

Let us work together to make CP children’s dreams of happiness, a reality.

From the CEO

My sister, Shun Ling, is an incredible woman. Although she was born and raised in a wealthy family with few worries, she was never spoiled. Asphyxia at birth led to her cerebral palsy, which left her unable to take care of herself. However, she never gave up but always persisted.

Her commitment to a better future for the disabled has led to several fantastic institutions. As her sister, I was deeply inspired by her spirit/work, so I gave up my comfortable life in Canada to fully help my sister establish and manage CereCare in Shanghai. Despite the numerous obstacles, the work of many governmental institutions/agencies and non-profit organizations finally culminated in the establishment of CereCare in June 2003.

Throughout the years as CereCare’s Chief Executive Officer, I have witnessed the progress of CereCare. I represent my sister, Ms. Shunling Lu, to express sincere gratitude to you all.

Under the same blue sky, let us work hand in hand and contribute our love and passion to build a bright future together!
